Hampshire MusicSpace is a community-based music therapy service, responding to the growing demand for music therapy in clients from pre-school to old age.

Hampshire MusicSpace is a branch of the national charity The MusicSpace Trust, registered Charity Number: 328311

Formed in 1996, its remit was to “establish a co-ordinated music therapy service and to expand the provision of music therapy for children and adults in and around Hampshire, for those with communication and / or emotional needs.”

Hampshire MusicSpace has a highly dedicated, experienced team of Music Therapists, each registered through the Health Professions Council. The team currently sees around 220 children and adults each week, in individual or group sessions, working with many organisations – both statutory and private – to improve their emotional quality of life.

Music therapy is arranged via the HMS office, in Winchester, mostly as outreach therapy in schools, residential homes, day centres, health units and private family homes. HMS has one fully-equipped community site in Upper Froyle, Alton, North Hampshire.

Hampshire MusicSpace can provide:
Individual music therapy
Group music therapy
Music therapy assessments
Presentations and workshops for carers, teachers and other professionals
